Complete Sponsor Terms:
1.1.0 Registration: Sponsors must keep their sponsored vehicle registered and insured. Failure to keep your vehicles registraton up to date can result in your rentals being cancelled or your sponsorship being terminated.
1.1.3 Vehicle Documentation: The vehicle must have registration and insurance information ready and available to be presented to police by any driver of the vehicle. It is recommended that photo copies of this documentation be kept in the glove compartment in an envelope that clearly states "Registration and Insurance, do not remove from vehicle" (See 1.8.2)
1.1.5 Application Accuracy: Any information submitted to our office must be true and accurate to the best of your knowlege. False information can result in customer dis-satisfaction and termination of your sponsorship.
1.2.2 Daily Rate: Sponsors are given the oppertunity to choose their own daily rate. This rate may be increased or decreased at anytime at the preference of the sponsor. Jolly Wheels will make recommendations for increases and decreases at the request of the sponsor, as well as setting the initial rate.
1.3.2 Payments: Sponsors are paid via cash on delivery (COD) by customer or bank deposit from Jolly Wheels.
1.5.2 Vehicle Delivery: It is important to be ON TIME as this is a business that SELLS TIME. Keep the lines of communication open with the customer. At the begining of rental, a safe and well lit location should be selected so that both parties may inspect and document the vehicle for damages. It is not neccessary to document rust spots.
1.8.2 Rental Documentation: Sponsors are responsible for checking the renters orginial drivers license. If the drivers license information does not match the rental documentation provided, then a call should be placed immediately to our office for resolution. Contracts should be signed and kept for your records, and should be made available to Jolly Wheels when requested. A copy of renters drivers license must be obtained. If renter brings own copy of drivers license, it must be compared to the original. Customers should never be given originals. (See 1.1.3)
1.8.5 Rental Extentions: If a customer requests an extention, please refer them to Jolly Wheels. In most cases insurance needs to be extended as well as your vehicles availability in the system. Multiple extentions fall into a higher insurance risk catagory.
1.9.9 Free Days: In order to keep the sponsor program FREE and to give extra value to our brand, each sponsor must agree to 2 free rental days per year. Jolly Wheels will determine when and how they will be used. Usages include advertised promotions, customer and company emergencies and courtousies.
1.10.2 Personal Security: The safety of the sponsor is a high priority. Certain measures of security should be taken into consideration during pick and drop off. For a drop off location, it is strongly recommended to choose a safe and well lit area, perferably in view of pedestrian traffic. (See 1.5.2) Shopping Center parking lot, Supermarket parking lots, clean and well lit gas stations are good examples of safe exchange points. When delivering a vehicle to a customer, go alone. (See 1.10.4) If you don't feel safe alone with a particular renter, then a re-consideration of the rental taking place would be in order. In such a case the sponsor should call the office for a resolution.
1.10.3 Vehicle Security: If the sponsord vehicle is equiped with an automated alarm system, this must be dis-engaged or disarmed in such a way that a customer can not arm or accidentally engage the device. The customer should not be given any security codes, remotes or be instructed on how to arm or disarm any security options of the vehicle, unless its absolutely neccessary. Sponsors should also have an extra door/ignition key. If the vehicle is equiped with a "low jack" or similar tracking device, it should not be made known to the renter.
1.10.4 Customer Security: A customer should feel safe within their own space and property. Sometimes a customer may back out of a deal if one or more of the following is done. 1. more than one person is present when the vehicle is delivered to them 2. more information and requirements are asked of the renter without prior notice. 3. Unproffessional speech or appearence of sponsor or vehicle. These and others can make a customer feel unsafe and unsure of a rental. Therefore it is recomended that sponsors drop off or pick up the vehicle alone and should not ask the renter for any more information or verification than what has been indicated for that rental. (See 1.5.2) We also recommend that sponsors have a neat and clean appearence and even use a folder to handle paperwork.
